INJURY-plagued Foxes defender Aleksander Tunchev is understood to have suffered a further set-back in his return from a knee injury.
The Bulgarian international hoped to be fit for the start of the new npower Championship season after returning to pre-season training before his Leicester team-mates.
But the 29-year-old is understood to require another operation on his troubled knee and is expected to miss the start of the campaign.
Tunchev hasn't travelled with the rest of the Foxes squad for the pre-season trip to Slovenia, with boss Paulo Sousa and his men flying out yesterday afternoon.
He suffered a damaged cruciate knee ligament injury in just his first season at the Walkers Stadium.
And he only played three matches last season before the injury struck the experienced defender again.
The latest set-back is another blow for Tunchev and Leicester as they prepare for their 2010-11 campaign - which kicks-off on Saturday, August 7.
