Leicester City have reportedly lodged a bid for 1.5 million rated striker Simeon Jackson. The 22 year old helped Gillingham gain promotion from League 2 last season with 22 goals including a last minute winner against Shrewsbury in the playoff final.
Another striker City have been linked with is French striker Yann Kermorgant. The 6ft front man was playing for French 2nd division side Stade de Reims last season where he finished the campaign with 9 goals and 9 assists.
Martin O'Neill is weighing up a 2.5 million bid for midfielder Andy King after failing in his attempts to land Fabian Delph.
Norwich defensive midfielder Sammy Clingan is also thought to be interesting Nigel Pearson as a possible replacement Andy King should he make the move to Villa Park. The Northern Ireland international would cost around £700,000.
