Leicester City look to have won the race to sign Doncaster Rovers midfielder Richie Wellens. The 29 year old is said to be having a medical at City this afternoon.
Wellens started out his career at Manchester United, but spent the majority of his career since in League one, as spells at Blackpool and Oldham followed. Last season with Doncaster was his first as a Championship player, but impressed enough to convince Pearson to part with a fair sum of money for his services.
