Leicester City have put in a 7 figure bid for Peterborough striker Craig MacKail-Smith. There is some competition however for the prolific frontman who scored 26 goals for Posh last season, as Bristol City are rumoured to have also tabled a bid. Mackail-Smith was signed by Peterborough United from Dagenham & Redbridge for £125,000 in 2007.

Pearson has also reportedly expressed an interest in Wolves striker Andy Keogh, and following the signing of Kevin Doyle it would see the striker fall further down the pecking order at Molineux.

Meanwhile, striker DJ Campbell's future is still looking to be away from the Walkers Stadium with a move to Blackpool still possible. Despite starting training a week earlier than most the striker was training on his own this week along with Ricky Sappleton, Jonny Hayes and Levi Porter who are not in the managers plans and are available for transfer.
